Abstract: With the popularization of higher education, the concept of social talents has also changed, and the quality of higher education is facing the challenges of the new era. Colleges and universities also have a consensus on the talent cultivation based on general education to promote all-round development. They have carried out talent cultivation mode exploration through the reform of boarding colleges, which can better meet the goals of higher education and social needs. Although the reform of the academy system in various colleges and universities has made diversified exploration and rapid development in the aspects of concept, organization, culture, function, etc. problems have also emerged, such as uncertain concept, separation of body and function, etc. Based on the affirmation of the current situation of the reform of the academy system, this paper starts from the logical starting point of the reform of the academy, the educational function, and ponders over the current development status and problems, and attempts to explore the ways to realize the educational function synchronized with the reform of the academy by taking students as the center on the premise of analyzing the organizational structure.
