Abstract: With the construction of a new type of power system under the background of“dual carbon”, the power system is gradually transforming into a new type of power system with a complex structure and more flexible operation mainly based on new energy. This article aims to address the issue of the current curriculum system for electrical engineering and its automation majors not being able to meet the demand for applied talents in the industry's development, and to restructure the curriculum system for electrical engineering and its automation majors. Elaborate on the construction ideas of the new system from three aspects: theoretical course system, practical course system, and integration of course competitions, and explore solutions to the problems of derailment between training objectives and needs, as well as weak comprehensive abilities of students.
