Research on Factors Influencing Innovation and Entrepreneurship among Engineering College Students from the Perspective of Participants

Abstract: Engineering college students are important participants in innovation and entrepreneurship. Based on survey data from engineering college students, this article empirically analyzes the factors influencing their involvement in innovation and entrepreneurship. The research results indicate that over 40% of engineering college students hold a positive attitude towards participating in innovation and entrepreneurship activities. There is a significant positive correlation between academic performance and participation in innovation and entrepreneurship activities. Students'experience in student organizations or clubs, the educational background of their mothers, the entrepreneurship experience of their immediate relatives, and whether their school or major is of dual first-class status all have significant positive effects on college students'involvement in innovation and entrepreneurship.
