Present Situation Investigation and Countermeasure Research on Geomatics Students'Participation in Discipline Competition——Taking TYUT as an Example

Abstract

Abstract: Discipline competition is the main platforms to cultivate students'innovation capability. However, current research has rarely explored how to more effectively carry out student competitions from the perspective of competition subjects, to better leverage the role of competition. This paper employs the method of questionnaire survey to analyze the current situations of Geomatics students'participation in discipline competitions in Taiyuan University of Technology (TYUT). Based on the questionnaire survey data, the study summarizes the main problems in the competitions and their corresponding causations, and gives suggestions about competition promotion, teacher guidance, team building, psychological counseling, daily teaching, etc. to improve students'innovation capability.
