Exploration and Practice of the Educational and Teaching Reform Based on a “Cedar-Like” Talent Fostering Mode——A Case Study on Sanda University's Business School

Abstract: As economic, social, production and business models continue to upgrade in the new era, the traditional business education model has been severely challenged, where curriculum and talent training are no longer able to meet the needs of economic and social development. In the context of promoting the high-quality development of economy and responding to society's demand for high-quality composite talents, it is necessary to build an educational reform mode which adapts to the characteristics of the new era to guide the reform of curriculum. This paper explores a new business curriculum reform path for the digital economy from the perspective of talent cultivation and proposes the "Cedar-like" talent fostering mode. This mode includes one axis, two wings and the soil. One axis is the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical ability cultivation, and two wings mean the balance between hard skills and soft skills in the cultivation of talents. The soil clarifies the basic position of curriculum ideology and politics in the cultivation of talents.
