Abstract: With the gradual development of China's scientific and technological level, the practice and application of new media technology in advertising design is increasing, which not only drives the high-speed development of commercial information, but also improves the transmission speed of advertising resources, making the coverage of a broader area, and better make up for the deficiency of traditional advertising design. Therefore, higher vocational colleges should actively play the advantages and roles of new media technology in advertising design teaching, constantly adjust the teaching methods and teaching ideas, and promote students to master the latest advertising design mode and method, so as to meet the market demand of advertising design. This paper briefly analyzes the characteristics of advertising under the new media environment, and puts forward several optimization measures combined with the reform direction of advertising design teaching, thus laying a foundation for the sustainable and stable development of China's advertising industry.
