Abstract: With the continuous advancement of higher teaching reform, the separation of teaching and examination mode has gradually replaced the traditional way of teaching and examination. The new liberal arts curriculum reform uses the separation of teaching and examination to evaluate students comprehensively and objectively from a multi-dimensional perspective. Based on the separation of teaching and examination, this paper analyzes the disadvantages of the traditional evaluation mechanism in colleges and universities, and reappraises the significance and value of the separation of new literature, science, education and examination. Starting from the teaching practice, it takes the use of data feedback to promote the reform of process assessment, the construction of information question bank, and the integration of competition, learning and teaching as the main contents. Thus, the path of cultivating high-quality applied talents with innovative ability through the separation of teaching and examination in private colleges and universities under the vision of new liberal arts construction is explored.
