Research on Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education in Independent Colleges——Example from Applied Technology College of Soochow University

Abstract: The higher education in China has entered a new era, the construction of new engineering disciplines and first-class specialties are inseparable from the innovation and entrepreneurship education system, therefore, the training quality of innovation and entrepreneurship has become one of the critical assessments for independent colleges. This article chooses Applied Technology College of Soochow University as the research subject, the survey method was used and a total of 1 778 usable questionnaires were returned. Through an analysis of college students’ awareness; knowledge of innovation and entrepreneurship and the development of innovation and entrepreneurship education, the existing main problems are raised and the countermeasures and suggestions are proposed.
