Exploration and Practice in Specialty Construction of Teaching Reform of Local Application-Oriented University——Taking the Example of the Specialty of “Mechanical Design Manufacture and Automation”

Abstract: The proposal of national “Double first-class” and “Plan of Double 10000” has promoted the professional construction of higher education in China. The local application-oriented university, as the main body of local university, should seize the opportunity of first-class undergraduate specialty construction. The local application-oriented university combined with their own situation will explore and innovate, promote construction through evaluation, and promote development through reform, so as to explore a suitable development path on the basis of the existing professional construction. This paper explores the suitable way for the specialty construction and talent training of local application-oriented university by revising the training scheme, optimizing the curriculum system structure, strengthening practical teaching and the teaching staff, combined with the current situation of the specialty construction and taking the mechanical design manufacture and automation specialty of Kunming University as an example. The research results provide an ideas and reference for the specialty construction of local application-oriented university.
