A Study on the Application of Flipped Classroom in College English Teaching in Universities in Guangxi

Abstract: With the reform of College English, “student-centered” teaching approaches have been drawing scholars’ attention. In order to find out College English teachers' perception, practice and the difficulties they meet during their implementation of flipped classroom in College English teaching in Guangxi, a research by means of questionnaire and interview is conducted. Based on the discussion, some findings have been obtained: (1) Most participants have a clear perception of flipped classroom; (2) College English teachers are familiar with the practice of flipped classroom and know the ways to implement flipped classroom in their English teaching activities, and (3) the ten difficulties in the questionnaire have a medium influence on the College English teachers’ practice of flipped classroom in their English teaching.
