Abstract: To carry out innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities is not only a response to the national policy and the objective requirements of cultivating innovative talents, but also an effective strategy to solve the current employment problems of college students. Firstly, this paper summarizes the strategic significance of innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities from the perspectives of society, school and students. Then it dialectically analyzes the good opportunities and practical difficulties that colleges and universities face in carrying out innovation and entrepreneurship education at present. Finally, combined with the work practice, from the aspects of improving the curriculum system, strengthening the faculty, innovating the evaluation model, and building the linkage platform, the feasibility path of innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities under the innovation-driven development is summarized, so as to deliver more application-oriented and innovative talents in short supply to all sectors of society.
