Practical Exploration of Classic Reading of Traditional Chinese Medicine——Taking Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine as an Example

Abstract

Abstract: Classics of traditional Chinese medicine, notably the four classics, namely Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Medicine, Treatise on Febrile Diseases,Synopsis of Golden Chamber, and Analysis of Heat Diseases are the cornerstone of traditional Chinese medicine both in the academic field and the clinical field. They are the required reading materials for those who want to take traditional Chinese medicine as a researching subject. Taking Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine as an example, this paper states from the following four aspects, namely the importance of TCM learning in talent cultivating, the state quo of TCM majors in classic learning, the series of activities related to classic learning, and the shortcomings for classic learning. Learning methods and certain advice are mentioned.
