Abstract: Control science and engineering are a comprehensive discipline which combines theory and practice closely. As the corresponding undergraduate major of this subject, in the teaching process of automation specialty, teachers are not only required to combine the theoretical knowledge in books with the specific application background in people's production and life, but also require teachers to have clear understanding and theory about several basic theoretical problems and methods in the research field (such as stability analysis, system identification, optimal control, etc.) solution. Only by clearly understanding and mastering the research background, concept and theoretical basis of these classical theoretical problems, can students make a positive and flexible application in the concrete practical engineering. This paper mainly introduces several classical theoretical problems and methods in the discipline of control science and engineering. The purpose is to make students understand the main contents and theoretical framework of the discipline more deeply through introducing the classical theoretical problems and methods in the course of professional teaching, which will help students to apply the theory knowledge flexibly in the future.
