Abstract: The ideological and political education in Colleges and universities is the lifeline of all kinds of work in Colleges and universities, and is a major political task and strategic project related to the cultivation of new people of the times. Therefore, the ideological and political work in Colleges and universities should adhere to the "advancing with the times", keep up with the times, constantly innovate and enrich. As the spiritual treasure of the Chinese nation, the excellent traditional Chinese culture should attach great importance to its contemporary value in the ideological and political education of colleges and universities, so as to better inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional culture of our country. In the ideological and political education in Colleges and universities, it is imperative and significant to adhere to the basic and main channel role of the first classroom, give full play to the collaborative education function of the second classroom, inherit and carry forward the traditional Chinese culture, and explore the ideological and political education function of traditional Chinese culture.
