Abstract: The construction of world-class universities and disciplines is referred to as "double first-class". Building a "double first-class" university is a major strategic decision made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, which is conducive to improving the comprehensive strength and international competitiveness of China's higher education, and provides strong support for the realization of the "two centenary goals" and the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Under the background of "double first-class" construction, many well-known colleges and universities in China set up art majors on the basis of advantageous disciplines. Based on the particularity of art education in discipline construction, they actively explored and improved the contents of art education in depth and breadth, By carrying out practical innovation and regional characteristic innovation education for college students, colleges and universities can promote college students to form innovative thinking, improve their ability of art appreciation and service, and create a strong cultural atmosphere in which learning is applied and daring to be the first but not limited to norms, so as to lay a solid foundation for cultivating high-quality talents in line with the requirements of the times.
