Exploration on the Realization Path of the Educational Function of Voluntary Service in Colleges and Universities from the Perspective of Labor Education

Abstract: Voluntary service is an important carrier and main component of college students' labor education, which has been paid more and more attention. Voluntary service in colleges has four educational functions: cultivating college students to internalize the core values of Chinese socialism, promoting the deepening of university professional knowledge and the improvement of practical level, strengthening the shaping of college students' labor quality and the cultivation of their labor ability, and enhancing their sense of social responsibility and subjective self-awareness. In view of the special nature of voluntary service in colleges, there are some problems, such as low management level, imperfect legal protection, lack of brand culture and so on. Colleges and universities should standardize service training, improve management level, strengthen team building, improve system guarantee, innovate incentive mechanism, protect service rights and interests, rely on discipline characteristics, define brand positioning, and construct cultural characteristics to realize the effective play of educational function.
