From MOOC to SPOC: Adherence and Change of Online Teaching in University

Abstract: MOOC/SPOC online learning has received the dual recognition of technology and concept rather than be positioned as teaching tools in China in recent years, especially since the COVID-19. Whether teachers, students, and colleges actively embrace or passively accept it, online teaching is unstoppable and has become the new normal of teaching mode of universities. From MOOC, which focuses on online teaching, to SPOC, which integrates online and offline teaching, how to stick to the original intention of education and how to reform and embrace the future in Chinese universities This article tries to discuss the future of online education in universities based on the fundamental logic of MOOC and SPOC.
