Abstract: With the continuous improvement of the country and society's requirements for higher education, the cultivation and exploration of innovative talents has become a top priority in the development of independent colleges. The article points out the value of cultivating innovative talents in machinery majors in independent colleges, and puts forward the current problems in cultivating innovative talents in machinery majors in independent colleges. Combining the characteristics of our college, starting from the six aspects of training objectives, training models, teaching methods, practical teaching, second classrooms, and teacher structure, point out the effective strategy for the cultivation of innovative talents in the mechanical major of the independent college, with a view to innovating the mechanical major of the independent college the training of talents provides useful reference.
