An Research on the Perceived Social Support, Psychological Capital and Academic Achievement of College Students ——Taking Hangzhou as an Example

Abstract: Taking 391 college students in Hangzhou as research subjects, this study examines the relationship among their perceived social support, psychological capital and academic achievement. The findings show that: (1) there are significant differences in their perceived social in terms of whether the student is the only child of the family and whether the students is student leader, there are significant differences in psychological capital in the place of birth and whether the students is student leader, and academic achievement differs in the place of birth, whether the student is the only child of the family and whether the students is student leader; (2) perceived social support has a positive influence on psychological capital and academic achievement, psychological capital also has a positive predictive effect on academic achievement; (3) psychological capital plays a completely mediating role in the influence of perceived social support on academic achievement.
