Feasibility of "Content-Based" Teaching Model in Foreign Language Specialty Classroom——Practice Report from Advanced Japanese Extensive Reading Course

Abstract: In recent years, under the fierce social changes brought by the continuous development of global integration and information age, the education and teaching of college foreign language majors is facing unprecedented severe challenges. Due to the influence of unstable factors, the graduates appear a serious disconnection with their major in employment and life choice after going to society, and even in the learning stage, there are negative manifestations such as confusion and weariness of learning. Therefore, as teachers on the educational scene, how to bring positive and positive influence to students through their own classroom has become an extremely important subject. Under this background, the "content-based" teaching mode provides us with a new way of thinking, and gives us a new feasibility for foreign language teaching in the future. This paper summarizes and reflects on the details of the practice from the extensive reading course of senior Japanese majors in a university in China.
