Research and Exploration on Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Methods of Electro-mechanical Majors in Application-oriented Institutes

Abstract: The cultivation of college students' innovative consciousness and ability is the fundamental goal of applied undergraduate education and teaching reform. This goal should run through the entire process of engineering education. The article focuses on the innovation and entrepreneurship education of mechanical and electrical majors in applied undergraduate colleges. The methods for cultivating the awareness of innovation and entrepreneurship education for teachers and students of mechanical and electrical majors were proposed. The feasibility were analyzed from enhancing teachers’ awareness of innovation and entrepreneurship education and enhancing students’ awareness of innovation and entrepreneurship education respectively. The approach to create a good atmosphere for innovation and entrepreneurship education is introduced, with advanced educational concepts and innovation and entrepreneurship working mechanisms as the starting point. The specific plan for building a complete innovation and entrepreneurship education platform were studied, with emphasis on university-enterprise cooperation training mechanism in innovation and entrepreneurship education. The necessity and feasibility of innovation and entrepreneurship education programs were emphasized. The above-mentioned research can provide reference for the innovation and entrepreneurship education of applied undergraduate colleges.
