Reform and Exploration of Publication of Doctoral Achievements During Reading Period

Abstract: It is a common regulation of domestic universities that doctoral students can only graduate if they meet the academic paper publishing requirements of the school. Such academic evaluation method makes doctoral students' scientific research pressure burdensome and induces academic misconduct. At the same time, the pursuit of publishing, education has become utilitarian, ignoring talent training. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the legitimacy of "doctoral students can only graduate after publishing papers", so that doctoral education should return to talent cultivation, rather than focus on publishing papers, and carry out systematic reform on discipline development evaluation and tutor education evaluation at the school level.
