Abstract: Nowadays, more and more people have paid attention to the topic of Chinese core literacy. The new curriculum standard says: "the cultivation of Chinese core literacy is the quality of individual expression experience and speech that students establish in the continuous language practice activities and can show in the real situation. It is the relevant language knowledge and ability, thinking quality and method that students acquire in Chinese learning, and it is also the expression of personal real feelings and people. The aesthetic views of life and values and the comprehensive expression of individual cultural perception. " This article will discuss how to cultivate students' reading ability under the core literacy of Chinese according to the junior middle school Chinese textbook compiled by the Ministry.
