Abstract: Spoken English competence is a key part in evaluating learners' language competence. Spoken English for work is essential part in vocational competences graduates from vocational colleges. To evaluate this competence, a scientific and practical system of testing is needed, which is to be set to test,evaluate and improve the effect of teaching and learning of the spoken English in higher vocational college. This paper introduces the research background, process and achievement of the research Evaluation Model for Oral English in Higher Vocational Education Based on Vocational Ability -- A Case Study of Nanjing Polytechnic Institute.
