Research on the Cultivation of English Application Ability in Higher Vocational English Teaching

Abstract: In the process of English teaching in higher vocational colleges, teachers must clarify the goals of English teaching, fully mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of English learning in higher vocational colleges, and focus on cultivating the English application ability of higher vocational college students, so as to effectively improve the overall effect of English teaching in higher vocational colleges. This article mainly discusses from the following four aspects: the importance of cultivating students' English ability in higher vocational colleges, the exploration of cultivating students' ability to apply English in higher vocational English teaching, the use of modern teaching methods to optimize the English teaching environment, and the effective improvement of students' English listening and English reading ability.
