Abstract: All types of occupational skill competitions are performed by selection of job positions with large employees, strong speciality and industrial representativeness in reality, the team establishment ofhighly-skilled employees is strengthened, technical and skill communication is promoted, and a long term mechanism of post practice and technical competition is improved, so that the skill of production operators can be improved and the quality safety of engineering construction can be ensured. The teaching design of steel structure construction is researched and discussed under the background of teacher occupational ability competition by taking the course of steel structure construction. The specific cases are extended based on the researches on design, actualization, effect and informative technology application of teaching programs, and after-class rethinking and improving.
