Abstract: It is a necessary measure to cultivate the elite innovative talents for the construction of an innovative country. Based on the research and exploration of the concept, concept and educational practice of elite innovative talents in art major of "first-class university", this paper puts forward that the cultivation of elite innovative talents in art major of "first-class university" should have new educational concept, rigorous teaching procedures, perfect teaching system and flexible educational environment. Through the establishment of a series of complete education system, we can improve the practical ability and innovation ability of the innovative talents of art majors, provide strong talent support for the construction of an innovative country, and inject fresh blood into the art industry of our country.
