摘要: STEM(科学、技术、工程和数学)教育旨在加强科学、技术、工程、数学等学科的整合,强调问题导向。解决复杂工程问题能力是工程教育认证的核心,也是工科专业必须面对的重要课题。该文针对工科学生数学应用能力培养的问题,提出引入“STEM教学理念”,树立数学应用意识,以“数学竞赛”为导向,夯实数学基础,最终以“数学建模竞赛”为载体,从而达到提高学生解决复杂工程问题能力的目的。

Abstract: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education aims to strengthen the integration of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and other disciplines, emphasizing problem orientation. The ability to solve complex engineering problems is the core of engineering education certification, and it is also an important subject that engineering majors must face. Aiming at the cultivation of engineering students' mathematical application ability, this paper proposes to construct "STEM teaching concept", establish the awareness of mathematical application, take "mathematical competition" as the guidance, consolidate the mathematical foundation, and finally take "mathematical competition in modeling" as the carrier, so as to achieve the purpose of improving students' ability to solve complex engineering problems.
