Design of Business English Listening and Speaking Teaching Based on Schema Theory

摘要: 在商务英语教学中,听说能力是极其重要的,但是不少高校仍采用传统的听说教学法,学生的听说能力相对比较薄弱。图式理论目前被广泛运用于外语教学的阅读、词汇、翻译、写作和听力等领域,在听说教学中的运用比较少,但已经逐渐凸显其作用。该文分析了学生听说能力低的原因,阐述了图式理论对英语听力和口语的指导作用,并以具体一次课为例,进行了具体的教学设计。在一个学期的教学后,通过课堂观察和期末调查问卷、访谈和测试等方式,证实了图式理论能够有效提高学生的听说能力,并激发学生学习英语的兴趣。

Abstract: In business English teaching, listening and speaking ability is an extremely important ability, but many colleges and universities still adopt the traditional listening and speaking teaching method, students' listening and speaking ability is relatively weak. At present, schema theory is widely used in the fields of reading, vocabulary, translation, writing and listening in foreign language teaching. It is less used in the teaching of listening and speaking, but it has gradually become prominent. This paper analyzes the reasons why students 'listening and speaking ability is low, expounds the guidance of schema theory to English listening and speaking, and takes a specific class as an example to make a specific teaching design. After one semester of teaching, it is proved that schema theory can also effectively improve students' listening and speaking ability and stimulate students' interest in learning English through classroom observation and questionnaire, interview and test at the end of the semester.
