Abstract: Garbage classification is a measure beneficial to the country and the people, which is of great significance to the construction of a "waste free city". Taking garbage classification as the background, the interpretation of the national law of solid wastes environmental pollution control and the implementation plan of waste classification were supplemented in the improvement of the course "solid waste treatment and disposal". In addition, the explanation of the business model of waste classification, the impact of the implementation of waste classification on the mainly solid waste treatment process, and the strengthening of the curriculum design of waste classification have also been added to the curriculum improvement. Through the curriculum improvement, the awareness of waste classification will be enhanced, and the construction concept of "waste free city" was established, furthermore, the professional vision of solid waste will be expanded, and the scientific research interest will be stimulated. To sum up, through the improvement, the solid waste treatment and disposal course can meet the needs of waste classification construction.
