Abstract: The legal education of students in higher vocational colleges is an important part of higher vocational education, and also a key way to cultivate higher vocational students to grow into good citizens. Therefore, legal education has dual functions of promoting individual development and social development. However, at present, most of the legal education in Higher Vocational Colleges in China has some problems that have not been solved reasonably, which makes many students still lack of legal awareness after graduation. Therefore, this paper discusses the problems existing in the legal education of students in higher vocational colleges, and puts forward some concrete ways, such as attaching importance to cultural education and enriching the legal education methods, in order to help students develop correct legal consciousness.
