Abstract: The implementation of the rural revitalization strategy cannot be separated from the support of skilled talents, who are the key force in promoting agricultural modernization and upgrading rural industries. As a base for cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents, vocational colleges should accurately meet the talent needs of rural revitalization strategy and continuously explore and innovate high skilled talent training models. This article is based on the national strategy of rural revitalization. Firstly, it analyzes the problems of disjointed professional settings, outdated teaching methods, and shortage of“dual teacher” teachers in the traditional talent training mode of higher vocational education. On this basis, it clarifies four principles of service orientation, dynamic adaptation, open education, and ability based high skilled talent training. Furthermore, six specific practical paths were proposed to deepen the integration of industry and education, optimize professional structure, strengthen practical teaching, empower teacher development, integrate digital technology, and cultivate a strong sense of“agriculture, rural areas, and farmers”. The aim is to build a new system for cultivating high skilled talents that closely meets the needs of rural development, and provide solid talent support for rural revitalization.
