Research on the Current Situation and Strategies of Professional Development of Teachers in Five-Year Integrated New Higher Vocational Colleges—Case Study of Shanghai

Abstract: The five-year integrated new-type higher vocational education (hereinafter referred to as new-type higher vocational education) is a new model explored in the reform process of China's higher vocational education system, aiming to serve the national development strategy implement. Among them, teacher professional development plays a key role. This article deeply analyzes the new requirements for teacher professional development in the context of the construction of new-type higher vocational colleges, presents the current situation and existing problems of teacher professional development in Shanghai through investigation and research, and proposes strategies for the professional development of teachers in Shanghai's five-year integrated new-type higher vocational education by drawing on the experience of Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province.
