Abstract: As a vital component of China's national strategic planning, the development of new liberal arts emphasizes interdisciplinary integration, technological empowerment, and value-oriented guidance, offering innovative perspectives and pathways for cultivating converged media communication professionals. With the deep integration of media technologies and continuous evolution of communication formats, society's demand for versatile communication talents with data-driven thinking, user insight capability, product operations, and cross-disciplinary collaboration capabilities has become increasingly urgent. However, some universities still face multiple challenges in converged media talent cultivation, including outdated curriculum systems, obsolete teaching models, and homogeneous faculty structures. Building on an analysis of new liberal arts principles, this paper systematically identifies key issues in current converged media talent development. It proposes actionable strategies through curriculum restructuring, pedagogical innovation, and faculty optimization, aiming to provide theoretical references and practical guidance for systematically cultivating high-quality, interdisciplinary converged media communication professionals in the new era.
