Abstract: The pharmaceutical industry, as a research and development-driven sector, has an increasingly urgent demand for talents with innovative capabilities and practical competencies. However, there remains a notable gap between the talent cultivation models in pharmaceutical universities and industry needs. Particularly in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, although pharmaceutical projects demonstrate strong research capabilities, they exhibit significant shortcomings in industrial application and commercial operation. Based on data from the 2024“China International College Students'Innovation Competition”and the“Challenge Cup”Competition, this paper analyzes the poor performance of pharmaceutical universities in innovation and entrepreneurial competitions, and proposes a series of measures. These measures aim to systematically advance the cultivation of innovative and entrepreneurial talents in pharmaceutical universities, fostering deeper integration among education, talent, and industry chains.
