Abstract: As the construction industry undergoes a transformation towards digitalization and intelligentization, the traditional teaching of the course building architecture encounters several issues. These include challenges in spatial cognition for students and a relatively weak practical component. Taking the curriculum reform of building architecture as an illustrative case, this paper endeavors to optimize the teaching model by integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology. By means of literature analysis, teaching experiments, and investigations on school-enterprise cooperation, this study explores the application pathways of BIM in the theoretical instruction, practical training, and assessment of this course. The research findings indicate that this reform can effectively enhance students'spatial thinking capabilities and engineering practice skills. Moreover, it offers valuable references for the digital teaching of professional courses in the field of architecture.
