Abstract: This study focuses on the innovation of the educational system in local undergraduate universities, exploring reform pathways under the context of high-quality development. Based on the requirements for high-quality education development, it analyzes the challenges faced by undergraduate universities in the Xiangxi region and proposes the construction of a talent cultivation system that aligns with regional economic and social development needs to enhance educational quality and service capabilities. In addition, the article explores the path of high-quality development for undergraduate universities in Xiangxi, including strengthening ideological and political education, reforming practical education, and enhancing the educational practice of“five educations simultaneously”. The findings provide theoretical support and practical guidance for the innovation of the educational system in Xiangxi's undergraduate universities, offering policy recommendations for optimizing educational systems and improving talent cultivation quality in local universities, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the regional economy and society.
