Study on the Impact of One on One Mentorship System in Private Universities on the Development of Young Teachers

Abstract: This paper discusses the influence of one-to-one tutorial system on the development of young teachers in private universities. Through questionnaire survey and in-depth interview, this paper analyzes the practical effects of the tutorial system on the teaching skills, scientific research ability and career planning of young teachers. It is found that one-to-one tutorial system has a significant effect on the development of young teachers, and helps to cultivate and improve their teaching concept, teaching method, academic accomplishment and scientific research ability. In view of the problems such as uneven allocation of tutor resources and low matching degree between tutors and young teachers, this paper puts forward suggestions such as strengthening the construction of tutor team, optimizing the matching mechanism between tutors and young teachers, and improving the supervision and evaluation mechanism, in order to provide useful references for the development of young teachers in private colleges and universities and promote the development of the teaching team in private colleges and universities.
