Abstract: Under the backdrop of economic transformation and innovation-driven strategies, innovation and entrepreneurship education in higher education institutions urgently requires reform. Current issues in China's higher education system include vague objectives, fragmented curricula, and insufficient practical platforms, leading to a disconnect with students'career development. This paper elucidates the significance of integrating career planning with innovation and entrepreneurship education, analyzes existing challenges and their underlying causes, and proposes reform pathways based on career development theories. These include constructing a career planning-oriented curriculum system and strengthening faculty development. The study aims to offer theoretical and practical references for enhancing the effectiveness of educational practices.
