Abstract: This article investigates the grassroots employment situation of students majoring in geology and mining under the background of high-quality and full employment development through a survey of characteristic universities, students, and employers in the industry. Grassroots employment for students majoring in geology and mining is a demand for industry development and an effective way to achieve full employment. To address problems such as deviation between expectations and reality, insufficient connection between cultivation and application. To address these issues, the article proposes that universities should change their educational concepts, optimize their training models, and strengthen employment guidance; Enterprises should improve grassroots conditions, and deepen school enterprise cooperation; Government departments and society should strengthen employment incentives, establish service platforms, and enhance publicity and guidance.
