Abstract: Signal and system is a core foundational course for engineering, electrical, and information majors, and is a highly theoretical course. The teaching objective is to be able to expound and apply the basic theories, knowledge, and skills of signals and systems, flexibly apply analysis methods of signals and systems, and learn to use mathematical tools to solve practical engineering application problems, laying a necessary theoretical foundation for other related follow-up courses studying. This article takes the signal and system course as an example and proposes to carry out the“3+3 self study”teaching reform, guiding students to learn independently and deeply, and thus cultivating students'innovative thinking and self-learning ability. More than 10 years of teaching practice have proven that this innovative teaching model benefits students greatly and has good teaching effects.
