Exploration of Environmental Microbiology Teaching Reform for Cultivating Independent Innovation Capability through Multidimensional Science and Technology Innovation Training

Abstract: In the current new era, how to cultivate students’independent innovation capability is the core issue of higher education reform in China. In the environmental science and engineering curriculum system, environmental microbiology is one of the very important professional basic courses that is both theoretical and practical. In the teaching reform for environmental microbiology, through the selection of teaching content, the strengthening of innovation consciousness, and the reconstruction of the teaching process, using multidimensional science and innovation training such as various levels of scientific research innovation platforms projects, the expansion training in the practical internship base and supporting the scientific and technological innovation activities of student associations, we have achieved good teaching reform results in cultivating students’independent innovation capability. It provided new ideas for the teaching reform of environmental microbiology in the new era.
