Abstract: The discipline of materials science and engineering covers a wide range of knowledge areas, among which the fundamental courses of materials science fundamentals, solid state phase transformation, and metal materials science constitute the core of professional teaching. This article takes the logical relationship between these three courses as the starting point, deeply analyzes the problems of poor knowledge connection, disconnection between theory and practice, and single teaching methods in current teaching, and proposes corresponding integrated teaching reform ideas. Through systematic course content design, introduction of case teaching, and application of diversified teaching methods, the aim is to improve students'overall learning effectiveness and comprehensive abilities, cultivate materials science talents with systematic thinking, and contribute to the development of the discipline and social progress.
