Abstract: The development level of the mechanical manufacturing industry is one of the important factors determining China’s economic strength. Cultivating a large number of innovative talents in the mechanical field will provide sufficient human resources to promote China's transition from a manufacturing powerhouse to a manufacturing powerhouse. Local comprehensive universities undertake the task of cultivating innovative mechanical talents. This article summarizes the problems that exist in the process of cultivating innovative mechanical talents in local comprehensive universities, further explores the causes of these problems, and proposes countermeasures for cultivating innovative mechanical talents in local comprehensive universities, providing reference for the cultivation of similar talents in relevant universities.
