Abstract: Fermentation engineering, as a comprehensive interdisciplinary course, is crucial for undergraduate education in biotechnology. However, the traditional experimental teaching of fermentation engineering is not ideal and cannot adapte to the requirements of modern education for cultivating innovative talents. This article explores and implements a new teaching model centered on the integration of virtual and real, project driven, and industry academia collaboration, aiming to stimulate students'interest in learning, cultivate their innovation ability and practical skills. After two years of practice, the teaching system of this course has taken shape and achieved significant results in cultivating students’innovative thinking and practical abilities. It is expected to provide reference for biotechnology education.
