Exploration of the “Competitive” Practical Teaching Model in Higher Vocational Colleges from the Perspective of New Professional Literacy

Abstract: The modern vocational education emphasizes the integration of professional literacy and technical skills. This article takes professional literacy as the“outline”and“competitive”practical teaching mode as the“objective”. Combining with the relevant situation of the School of Electrical Engineering of Zhengzhou University of Railway Engineering, it outlines the basic concepts and connotations, and focuses on analyzing the four major practical paths, namely, promoting learning through competition and promoting the improvement of professional literacy; Promoting training through competition, forging the craftsmanship of a great country; Promote innovation through competition and strive to become skilled craftsmen; Promote innovation through competition and cultivate great country craftsmen. At the same time, we should use the spirit of“spelling”to“pass on the fire”and solidify the foundation; Use the energy of“rushing”to“master and guide”to strengthen skills; Use strict requirements to“pass on and guide”and grow together; Summarized the effectiveness of the application of practical teaching mode in terms of“practical”style,“continued craftsmanship,”and demonstrated effectiveness, striving to adhere to the principles and goals, and deepen the reform of vocational education.
