Exploring the Reform Path of “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” Practical Education for Engineering Students in Local Universities—Taking the New Energy Materials and Devices Major of a University in Hebei as an Example

Abstract: At present, there is still a problem of insufficient emphasis on practical education in the process of innovation and entrepreneurship education in local universities in China. This article takes students majoring in new energy materials and devices from a certain university in Hebei as an example to explore and practice how to carry out“innovation and entrepreneurship”practical education for engineering students in local universities. The current situation of“innovation and entrepreneurship” practical education in local universities was analyzed, and the common problems and root causes of engineering“innovation and entrepreneurship”education in local universities were summarized. Solutions were proposed, and reform practices were carried out. Through personalized education throughout the four years of university, establishing an undergraduate innovation and entrepreneurship team, with young doctoral teachers as team mentors, can significantly improve students'innovation and entrepreneurship abilities, thereby improving the quality of“innovation and entrepreneurship”practical education.
