Realistic Dilemmas and Countermeasures of the Construction of Cross Disciplinary and Integrated Courses in Universities from the Perspective of New Liberal Arts

Abstract: Cross disciplinary integration courses are the core elements for cultivating versatile talents suitable for the requirements of the new era. Basing on a survey of the“smart finance and taxation”program at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, this article systematically analyzes the practical difficulties and countermeasures in the construction of cross integration courses in universities. It is found that the construction of cross disciplinary and integrated courses in universities mainly faces challenges in curriculum development, teaching, and assessment. To solve the related difficulties, we should strengthen top-level design, explore administrative management system reform, build interdisciplinary teacher teams, and provide institutional guarantees, organizational platforms, and teacher foundations for the construction of interdisciplinary courses.
