Training Mode Construction of Improving Students’Innovation Ability Based on the Practical Activity of“Competition + Project”—Take Material Major as an Example

Abstract: Practice activity is one of the effective ways to cultivate college students'innovative thinking and innovative ability. In view of the problem of insufficient innovation ability of materials majoring students in local colleges and universities, a new training mode of improving students'innovation ability based on the practical activities of“competition + project”is proposed. Exploration and implementation after 5 years, we won a number of excellent results in the practice activities of“Innovative Works Competition and Innovation Project”. In the process of actively participating in the“competition and project”practical activity, students significantly improve their innovation ability through discovery problems, analysis problems + solving problems. The training mode of innovation ability based on the“competition + project”practical activities can meet the needs of the growth and development of innovative talents, and can provide reference for the cultivation of innovative talents in local undergraduate universities.
