Abstract: Because of subjective and objective reasons, there is a special group of poor students in colleges and universities. College counselors should focus on this group, because they should also become the builders and successors of socialism with Chinese characteristics It's what society and family want. Counselors should face up to the psychological fragility of the poor students, analyze its causes, actively explore the targeted, scientific and effective measures to help the poor students with self-strengthening consciousness, and then strengthen the psychological capital of the poor students Enhancing the competitive ability of the poor students.
